The ultra-dynamic cross border environment is hard for regulators to keep up with. So although they are well-intentioned, regulators risk becoming an accidental but serious barrier to innovation. Having the ability to navigate the interface between unregulated and regulated activities is essential.
We have a strong history of understanding the UK's regulatory perimeter and have worked alongside HM Treasury, FCA and private organisations consulting on appropriate standards, including being a founding member of the APCC Crypto working group.
We have developed 5th Money Laundering Directive (5MLD) risk management frameworks for clients and have achieved success with clients gaining approval on the Temporary Register. We have also engaged with clients who are strategically deciding whether to include cryptoassets into their business models.
